I really believe that Toki Pona can be the first world pidgin ever.
It has maximal expressivity for a minimal effort:
only some 120 root words,
no cases, no plural, no gender, no conjugations,
no consonant clusters, no diphthongs, no long/short vowels, no double consonants
and no tones.
A little problem remains though, it has not enough numerals for a modern speaker,
it has only wan (1), tu (2) and mute (many),
plus ala (none) , ale (all)
and also nanpa (number) and kulupu (group).
In the tp community to older usage of using luka (hand, thus 5 fingers, thus 5)
and ''tu wan'' (3), ''tu tu'' (4), ''luka'' (5), ''luka wan'' (6), ''luka tu'' (7), ''luka tu wan'' (8), ''luka tu tu'' (9) and ''luka luka'' (10) has been continued.
This system permits numbers up to 19 but gets extremely unusuable above this limit.
I would add three multipliable numerals: ''luka en noka'' (20) , ''kento'' (100) and ''mila'' (1000).
2015 = tu mila luka luka luka
1972 = mila luka tu tu kento tu wan luka en noka luka luka tu
7 000 000 000 = luka tu mila mila mila
3,14 = tu wan en nanpa wan nanpa tu tu
70% = tu wan luka en noka luk luka pi kento
I would also add kilo, lita and meta and
sekonto, minuta and sa (from Shwahili saa ''hour'').
Finally, I would consider adding ''puku'' (book, literacy, literature, literary), ''konpu'' (computer, electronics, electronical, chip) and ''tele'' (television, movie, film, cinema, cinematographic).
